The role:The Integration Manager (IM) is responsible for overseeing and managing the process for integrating systems, operations and services within Project Delta. This project requires the managed integration and delivery of complex devices, consisting of hardware, software and courseware components, interacting with multiple stakeholders from suppliers to the customer and end-users within UK MOD.
This will be achieved through developing and executing a holistic Integration Strategy and comprehensive Integration Plans, coordinating cross-organisation teams, managing risk and ensuring a smooth transition to achieve the desired business synergies and value realisation.
Essential:- Solid grounding in the systems engineering lifecycle preferably with experience on large complex secure systems.
- A knowledge and understanding of ITIL functions, principles and processes.
- Proven track record in the implementation, delivery, handover and maintenance of complex IT systems in secure environments.
- Recent practical experience of successfully integrating complex COTS products.
- Experience implementing integration projects.
- Problem analysis and resolution in a secure environment.
- Experience working across all security classifications and delivery of solutions delivered through the Secure by design principles.
- Ability to quickly form effective working relationships with all stakeholders required.
- Configuration management processes and systems.
Desirable:- An understanding of the Defence system approach to training (DSAT) and/or the integration of training systems to deliver comprehensive training solutions.
- Managing projects, tasks and deliverables with protective markings or other special handling restrictions.
- Knowledge of or experience with Site Co-ordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA)
- Experience with Atlassian suite, working with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model.
- Awareness of NAFv4 and/or TOGAF.
- Experience of training devices.
Main duties will include:- Defining the Integration Strategy, including priorities, timelines, and milestones aligned with the overall project's Integrated Management Schedule (IMS).
- Creating and executing comprehensive Integration Plans, ensuring clearly defined and agreed deliverables, timely delivery, adherence to budget, and management of risk and opportunities.
- Oversee the integration of the devices from early within the development life cycle through delivery to finally Hand Over, ensuring environmental and security requirements are considered and appropriately addressed with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the project's subject matter expert and point of contact on the integration, delivery and hand over of the devices to support project requirements.
- Provide regular reporting against developed metrics to ensure confidence in the integration activities and successful hand over to the customer and end-users.
