Job Description:

Your new company is a growing Insurance company operating in the Lloyd’s of London market, conducting business via a global network with offices in the UK, Ireland, the United States, Asia, including Singapore, Lebanon, and Dubai. The company prides itself on growth from within and provides solutions covering Casualty, Marine & Cargo, Aerospace, Cyber, Political Violence, Trade Credit, Property, Contingency, and Yacht.

Due to growth within the MGA team, a permanent position for a Technical Accountant has arisen.

Your new role

As an MGA Technical Accountant within the processing team, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling technical documentation and accounts. Responsibilities include:

1. BDX management
2. Preparation of the month-end financial close processes for the technical accounts
3. Bank reconciliations
4. Preparation and quality assurance of bordereau
5. Quarterly audit file production, including coordination and ensuring all schedules are completed on time and referenced to supporting material
6. Improving and automating existing processes and integrating them efficiently with the current reporting process
7. Working closely with the Account and Financial Reporting team in London
8. Undertaking ad hoc duties

What you’ll need to succeed

Previous experience working for a Broker, Insurer, MGA, or Subsidiary with proven experience in managing technical accounts, BDX processing, and an understanding of end-to-end account management is essential. The ideal candidate will have a solid work history, be able to manage their own workload, work supportively with colleagues, and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks, resource planning, and meeting deadlines.
