A leading motorsport insurance broker are looking to recruit an Insurance Account Handler to join their successful team at their office in Saffron Walden, Essex.

Job Description

• Suitable candidates for the position may already have gained experience in an insurance role and are looking for a new and varied challenge, or have an interest in motorsport/cars. The applicant should have excellent self-management skills with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
• The role will require the handling of new and existing motorsport insurance business which will include the following elements:
• Dealing with our friendly clients on the phone and/or by email to discuss new quote enquiries
• Issuing of quote and policy documentation via our online system after checking they are accurate
• Replying to customers that have queries regarding any of the motorsport or track day insurance products that we provide
• Receiving instructions from clients to amend their quotes or policies and issuing revised documentation
• Taking phone payments from clients or arranging bank transfers
• Developing strong client and Insurer relationships
• The opportunity to visit motorsport circuits and venues to meet existing and potential customers

The ideal candidate will need to have strong numerical and literacy skills. Good communicational and organisational skills are also essential.

Other desirable skills are:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel and Outlook) or similar software applications
• Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates
