Commercial Insurance Account Handler - Haywards Heath
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

A highly respected National Broker is looking to add a Commercial Handler to its expanding team in Haywards Heath. Due to year-on-year growth, the business now has national coverage and access to all provincial, London, and international markets, in addition to bespoke and exclusive schemes, which enables our client to have an enviable presence in the Commercial Insurance Market.

Overview of the Position:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Servicing accounts with premiums in excess of £10,000 across all classes of Commercial Insurance, including renewals, new business, and MTA.
2. Receiving full support and backing of a designated Account Director for market presentations.
3. Obtaining quotations from the market for risks being brokered at renewal or for new business.

Candidate Requirements:

1. At least 2-3 years of commercial insurance experience is essential, along with sales experience.
2. Excellent negotiation skills with insurers and prospects.
3. A desire to develop new business.
4. Ability to meet and exceed targets and KPIs.
5. Excellent knowledge of the insurance market and its trends.
6. CII or progress towards is desirable.

Skills:

1. Commercial general insurance experience within either a broker or insurer environment.
2. Capability and experience to deal with significant commercial insurance clients.
3. Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills to enhance customer relationships.
4. Confidence in negotiation, addressing insurer objections to achieve the best results for clients.
5. Ability to work enthusiastically and meet timescales.
6. Willingness to undertake bespoke internal computer and technical training, along with professional examinations as required.
