Instrumental Tutors (Guitar, Strings and Piano/Keyboard)

Teachers' Pay and Conditions - Unqualified 3-6

Barnsley Music Service is looking to recruit three Instrumental Tutors (Guitar, Strings and Piano/Keyboard) to work in schools across the borough.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching Guitar/Ukulele to whole classes of Key Stage Two age children in primary schools throughout the borough
• Teaching Guitar to small groups (3-4 children) and individuals in primary and secondary schools throughout the borough
• Teaching Piano/Keyboard to small groups (3-4 children) and individuals in primary and secondary schools throughout the borough
• Teaching Violin/Viola/’Cello and Double bass to small groups (3-4 children) and individuals in primary and secondary schools throughout the borough
• Directing a String orchestra on a Friday late afternoon at our music centre
• Working three days per week (including a Friday)

Barnsley Music Service is a consortium member and delivery partner of the South Yorkshire Music Hub, providing inclusive and accessible music education opportunities across the borough of Barnsley. Based at Barnsley Civic, the music service offers opportunities for young people to access music after school.
