Instrument Technician

A specialist equipment hire company for global maritime and industrial sectors is seeking an Instrument Technician to maintain our Client’s equipment. The Instrument Technician will need to have a minimum level 3 in electronics, mechatronics or similar. In addition, have previous experience maintaining electronic instruments, have strong communication, teamwork, customer service and fault-finding skills. Also you will have a UK driving licence and passport as there will be occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various instruments and equipment.
• Utilise mechanical knowledge to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.
• Interpret and follow schematics for accurate repairs and installations.
• Provide exceptional customer service while addressing technical concerns.
• Adhere to maintenance schedules and ensure equipment functionality.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

• Have minimum level 3 in electronics, mechatronics or similar.
• Have previous experience maintaining instruments.
• Strong communication, teamwork, customer service, time management, and fault-finding skills.
• UK driving licence.

Desirables:

• Have knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Worked with seismic systems.

Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 DOE
