Bath Clinic is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for an Instrument Co-ordinator to join their team of staff in the Theatre department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Oversee the preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation, liaising with internal decontamination services and external hospitals where required.
- Ensure all instruments are clean, functional, and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner to meet daily theatre schedules.
- Assist in the ordering, rotation, and replenishment of theatre consumables, ensuring alignment with Circle Health Group’s preferred suppliers and procurement policies.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking, supporting cost-effective resource utilisation and high theatre readiness.
- Support the theatre team in delivering seamless surgical services, contributing to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Work closely with theatre practitioners, sterile services, procurement, and external providers to ensure clarity and continuity in equipment and stock availability.
- Ensure all instrumentation handling complies with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience working within a theatre environment or clinical support role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic understanding of infection control, instrument handling, and decontamination processes.
- Good communication and teamworking skills with a professional and reliable approach.
- Previous experience in instrument or stock coordination, ideally in a theatre or sterile services department.
