Installation Electrician - The Role and Responsibilities:

As an Installation Electrician, you will work on a variety of installations, ensuring that electrical systems meet the highest standards while complying with UK regulations. The key responsibilities of the role include:

1. Install electrical systems, including cable containment, power, data, control cabling, switchgear, and panels
2. Maintain high-quality work standards on all types of installations
3. Ensure compliance with current UK legislation and regulations
4. Drive onsite project progress to meet work timelines
5. Work towards achieving registered QS status with the NICEIC
6. Conduct electrical installation testing and periodic inspections
7. Assist with the commissioning process and work closely with commissioning engineers
8. Manage materials on-site to ensure workflow is maintained, advising management on material preferences and new ideas
9. Keep accurate records of testing and commissioning
10. Uphold best practices on-site, ensuring SSOW and safety rules are followed
11. Supervise and mentor less experienced staff and apprentices
12. Manage sub-contractors and ensure efficient communication with management on progress and resources
13. Support other engineers with duties as required, including non-electrical tasks

Installation Electrician - Qualifications and Experience:

1. Full valid driving license and the right to work in the UK
2. The Installation Electrician will be an experienced and time served in commercial environments
3. Experienced industrial installation electrician, power generation knowledge is an advantage
4. 18th Edition BS7671 wiring regulations
5. City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing (or working towards achieving)
6. ECS / JIB gold card
7. IPAF, PASMA an advantage
8. A valid CSCS card to suit the role
