Role Overview:

As an Installation and Commercial Engineer, you will be visiting customer sites to demonstrate and install equipment that enhances plastic processing machinery, which is not limited to injection moulding. This role requires manual handling, with the lightest product being 59kg, requiring 2 people to manoeuvre.

While hands-on, you are expected to travel across the UK and Ireland. You will either have an interest in sales or already possess some commercial skills that can be developed further. You will carry out negotiations, build relationships, and develop new business. You will be involved in product marketing and logistics and help define strategies and product development.

Above all, this is a sales role; your main responsibility will be to increase sales opportunities, maximizing revenue and market penetration.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have experience or a formal certification in plumbing or mechanical engineering, with some experience in sales or a desire to work in a technical sales position. This person could be from the plastics industry or have experience as an installation engineer.

The Role:
New Business Development / Product Management:
  1. Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  2. Plan calls as appropriate within the UK/Ireland market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  3. Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization.
  4. Research and build relationships with new clients.
  5. Develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  6. Participate in pricing and quoting the solution.
  7. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the products' unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  8. Collaborate with the machine sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets.
  9. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  10. Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
Management and Research:
  1. Submit progress reports and ensure the data is accurate.
  2. Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM or other sales management system.
  3. Track sales against targets.
Logistics:
  1. Manage incoming orders and the procurement of products with the parent company and oversee the delivery and, if necessary, the installation of units as required.
  2. Manage unit inventory and loan/trial units accurately, preparing loan agreements where necessary.
