Job Description

My clients, a well-established freight forwarder based within the Heathrow area, are seeking a professional and experienced Inside Sales Executive to join the team.

Duties would include:

  1. Participation in the creation, development, and execution of the Business Development strategy within the Commercial & Business Support function.
  2. Support both sales and branches in achieving their respective business objectives in the most efficient and effective way possible.
  3. Making targeted telesales introductions & appointments with customers, both new & existing.
  4. Profiling of new customers based on size, vertical market, and buying behaviour.
  5. Documenting required information and actions taken in CRM (Sales Force).
  6. Repeating telesales customer contact at regular intervals & in accordance with daily measured KPI’s.
  7. Assisting sales with making appointments with customers where appropriate and logging in CRM.
  8. Support credit checks for new customers prior to submitting quotations, in line with GSP & credit management policy.
  9. Provide spot & standard quotes to the customer.
  10. Handle customer commercial questions (technical, pricing, invoices, consulting).
  11. Identify cross-selling opportunities & communicate the same to the corresponding Business Unit.
  12. Review and update customer tariffs as and when necessary to protect profitability.

Skills needed:

  1. Good knowledge of freight forwarding.
  2. Confidence to make telemarketing calls to new customers in accordance with policy & individual targets.
  3. Outstanding communication skills.
  4. Target driven.
  5. Computer literate including CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
