Innovation Engineer

Bespoke engineering specialists providing solutions to the aerospace, motorsports, military, health sector & many more.

Salary: Circa £28k + 4 day working week! + Benefits

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am - 4:30pm

Location: Buckinghamshire

Vanta Staffing are working with an award-winning manufacturer who provides bespoke solutions to their wide array of clients. Due to a number of new exciting projects, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team with a methodically minded engineer who enjoys researching new ideas and providing feasibility studies for new products used in various industries including motorsports & health.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with internal departments (production, sales & engineering) to understand the client's needs & demands, discuss possible solutions, and provide feasibility studies of the potential product.
  2. Use CAD software to design potential solutions.
  3. Contribute to all new product introduction meetings to discuss potential areas of concern & improvement.
  4. Work with commercial teams to provide estimations on costs & time of the projects.
  5. Adhere to current standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  6. Follow all workshop SOPs and health and safety procedures.
  7. Communicate with team leaders, managers, and clients to ensure streamlined production.

Required Experience & Characteristics:
  1. Understanding of engineering or manufacturing principles.
  2. Ideally, an engineering qualification.
  3. Strong communication skills, written & verbal.
  4. Strong IT skills, ideally with AutoCAD knowledge.
  5. Reliable, committed & enthusiastic.
  6. Methodical & practical thinker.
  7. Live within commutable distance to High Wycombe.
  8. Courteous, polite & professional.
