Standard Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

Key Responsibilities:

Quality

  • Strategy development and execution - looking for innovation ways to do things, deployment of innovation strategy. As part of the BSL Senior Leadership team, the Quality & Innovation Manager will work in partnership with the VP of Quality Assurance, our CEO’s, and Senior Leadership team to:
  • foster and develop innovation opportunities
  • provide oversight for the execution of innovation opportunities
  • deploy quality assurance systems and performance benchmarks to monitor and continuously-improve
  • refine internal processes to ensure they maintain operational and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide guidance to management on process and support process development and conformance
  • Oversight for Root-Cause-Failure (RCF) initiatives to correct process anomalies or flaws and understand the areas of non-compliance
  • Oversight for the implementation of Irreversible Corrective Measures (ICA) measures to limit process non-conformities, operational impacting events, and increase operational resiliency.
  • Be the onsite subject matter expert of Process Compliance Records and site Solutions Knowledge Base
  • Working in partnership with the relevant department heads to ensure successful internal and external audit scores

Innovation

  • Lead on all Innovation opportunities and projects for the HCC.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and effectively deliver a strategic plan to implement such changes.
  • Support our business partner Heathrow with the future strategic growth of the HCC.
  • Lead and manage all incentivized projects as directed by our customer leadership team (customers and relevant internal /external stakeholders)
  • Lead and execute all areas of strategic planning in conjunction with the CEO and/or co-CEO and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for improvement and build a business case for approval for any associated costs. Through the use of data and analytics, identify and deliver process and operational improvement.
  • Support execution and stakeholder communication, supporting the underlying stakeholder teams for successful outcomes of all determined projects and opportunities.

Business as usual

  • Actively take part in the Monthly Management Review (MMR’s), as well as any customer meetings which would include monthly and quarterly reviews with HAL (as required.)
  • Coach, Mentor, and support all levels of management to reach operational excellence proficiencies with Innovation Development, Innovation Execution, Project Management, and Process Control activities
  • Be the “gate keeper” of knowledge-based solutions stored in our AMIS system
  • Provide high quality analytical reporting to the BSL board of directors (as required)

Qualifications

  • Prince2 Qualification or other relevant Project Management qualification
  • Exposure to and/or active use of efficiency improvement principles such as Lean or Six-Sigma is desirable
  • Certified internal audit qualification are desirable (or relevant experience)

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • Strategic Innovation Development and Change Management experience
  • Extensive experience of managing high-level and complex projects and leading project teams
  • Experience in “root-cause-failure analysis” techniques
  • Experience of leading quality and process control audits
  • High levels of professional acumen with executives and diverse stakeholder teams
  • Demonstrates forward-looking vision and enjoys strategic thinking Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to drive change with teams comprised of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of working with Visio (or similar Project Management Tools)
  • Extensive experience of procedural development and process controls for new innovation execution
  • Confidence to work in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of budget management
  • Experience in benchmarking against external company standards
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment is desirable
  • Understanding of working for a unionised environment is desirable
  • Experience of working within a logistics, FMCG or retail environment is desirable
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
