Job Title: Infrastructure Security Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Location: UK or Europe Remote
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000

My Client is looking for an Infrastructure Security Engineer to strengthen our security posture and protect critical systems. You will be responsible for securing cloud and on-prem infrastructure, monitoring security events, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing security controls. You will collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & implement security measures for cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
2. Conduct vulnerability assessments, scans, and penetration testing.
3. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
4. Monitor security events and respond to incidents in real time.
5. Automate security processes within CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
6. Ensure compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS.
7. Collaborate with teams to build security into the SDLC.
8. Manage security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and cloud security platforms.
9. Lead security initiatives across network, endpoint, and cloud security.
10. Monitor and implement endpoint protection and cloud security solutions.

What You Bring

1. 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud security.
2. Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and identity management.
3. Hands-on experience with Azure security best practices.
4. Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or similar scripting and automation tools.
5. Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management.
6. Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
7. Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, IAM, and encryption techniques.
8. Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or Azure Security Engineer) are a plus.
