Job Title: Information Security Consultant
Location: Peterborough, UK (Hybrid)
Are you an experienced Information Security Consultant with an interest in safeguarding digital assets and providing impactful security solutions? Do you thrive on engaging with stakeholders to identify risks and deliver innovative strategies that enhance business resilience?
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with senior security stakeholders, providing insightful guidance and illustrating how Cyber Security can enhance their operations.
- Identify internal and external opportunities, developing effective consultancy approaches to enhance security practices.
- Innovate and continuously improve existing security products and services, as well as develop new solutions to meet emerging threats.
- Produce technical standards and best practices, delivering informative briefings on security functions to business units, the Corporate Centre, and BTS teams.
- Foster skill development and knowledge sharing within the consultancy team and across wider security teams.
- Maintain a comprehensive profile of business units, leveraging Threat Intelligence to refine Security Risk Management techniques and promote Cyber Security improvements.
- Contribute to the regionalized operations of BTS, ensuring alignment with group security strategies and the direction set by the ABF Group CISO.
What You'll Bring: - In-depth knowledge of IT and Operational Technology environments, with experience advising on security controls across people, processes, and technology in large, complex organizations.
- Proven experience in an Information Security role, effectively navigating the challenges and demands of the position.
- Expert understanding of information security standards and best practices, including ISO 27001:2022 and the NIST Cyber Security Framework, with the ability to operate across multiple security models.
- Industry-recognized certification in information security or risk management would be beneficial (e.g., CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA).
- Awareness of current and emerging security trends and their implications for organizations.
- Preferred: College diploma or university degree in computer science or information security.
- Proven ability to communicate and present technically complex information clearly to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds and expertise.
- Excellent team player with a proven history of collaborative success in delivering results.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in personnel or project management, establishing positive relationships with BU security teams and broader BTS teams.
- Commitment to exceptional customer engagement and service, emphasizing the value of collaboration and alignment within the ABF framework.
LocationHybrid, a mix of office and homeworking. This role will be based at our Peterborough offices on the Lynchwood Business Park.
