Information Security Classified Networks Technical Lead

Job Title: Information Security Classified Networks Technical Assurance Lead

Location: Guildford, with some option for hybrid working.

What you'll be doing

1. Technical Risk Management - Conduct in-depth technical risk assessments of IT systems, networks, and applications. Identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
2. Accreditation and Compliance - Lead accreditation efforts and maintain compliance with frameworks such as Secure by Design, NIST-800-53, and STRAP.
3. Security Testing - Scope and oversee penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and other security validation activities.
4. Design and Architecture Review - Assess the Information Security of IT architecture during project lifecycles and provide recommendations.
5. Policy and Standards - Develop and enforce technical security policies, procedures, and standards.
6. Continuous Improvement - Identify gaps in security controls and drive initiatives for enhancement.
7. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting - Provide detailed assurance reports to stakeholders and communicate technical risks effectively.
8. Collaboration with Teams - Work closely with engineering, development, and operations teams to embed Information Security.
9. Security Assurance Framework Development - Review and revise Information Security frameworks for assessing security posture.
10. Promote high security standards and integrity.

Your skills and experiences

1. Expert understanding of security concepts and principles.
2. Expert understanding of UK government and defence accreditation standards.
3. Robust knowledge in developing and reporting performance and risk metrics.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills.
5. Independent tasking and project completion with little supervision.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Expert application of MS Office and other office automation software.
9. Experience in Government/List X/Facilities Security Clearance.
10. Ability to obtain high level Government Security Clearance.
11. Assist with security tasks as deemed appropriate by leadership.
12. Promote knowledge of industry security regulations and standards.
13. Promote and ensure BAE Systems Behaviours.
14. Must already hold UKSV with the ability to obtain Developed Vetting National Security Clearance.
15. Must be a UK National.
