Information Security Analyst – Chorley – Hybrid

Focus: Information Security, ISO27001, Networking, Security Policy
Location: Chorley, Lancashire (commute from Preston, Horwich, Bolton, Blackburn etc. with a hybrid working model)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor, log, triage, and escalate security alerts and cyber threats to maintain system integrity.
  2. Track external threat trends and recommend proactive security enhancements.
  3. Investigate security incidents and support penetration testing activities.
  4. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with standards like ISO27001.
  5. Conduct supplier security reviews and manage vulnerability assessments and remediation strategies.

Essential Requirements
  1. 4–5+ years of experience in an Information Security role, with proven expertise in cyber threat management.
  2. Familiarity with security controls and risk management frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  3. Strong hands-on experience in cloud and network security practices.
  4. Technical skills in one or more areas: web proxies, SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, endpoint detection, automation technologies, and more.
  5. Desirable certifications include CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or ISO27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer—or a willingness to achieve these.
