Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Information Security Administrator.

This is a Full Time, Permanent post.

The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working. You will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) and Cambridge. We will consider home working.

£23,588 - £24,978 pro-rata dependent on experience.

What you will be doing
As our Information Security Administrator, you will work closely with the Information Security Manager to improve information security across Historic England. You will provide a broad range of administrative support to include data administration, risk management, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives, leveraging tools and platforms such as SharePoint and PowerBI.

You will liaise directly with colleagues across Historic England with a focus on updating and maintaining the Information Asset Register, administering supplier security questionnaires, managing risk registers, and assisting in cybersecurity awareness campaigns. Your role will also contribute to the SharePoint Online project.

Who we are looking for

  • Experience of MS office products particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI and SharePoint Online
  • Ability to prioritise own work and meet deadlines
  • Able to build good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of the importance of information security within a public sector organisation
  • Demonstrates a passion for learning particularly in the area of information management and security
