AtkinsRéalis is currently seeking an Information Manager to join the Transportation team based in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Galway office.

AtkinsRéalis is a world-leading design, engineering and project-management consultancy. In industries ranging from healthcare and civil infrastructure to energy, housing and resilience, we provide data-driven expertise on projects, making the lived environment better and sustainable. Our global programme to connect People, Data and technology is focused on delivering beyond expectations, creating a sustainable more resilient net zero future, changing the game, pushing the limits, and engineering a better future for our planet and its people. We are transforming how our business delivers traditional design that considers digital twinning, smart cities, automation, and novel applications of computer vision and data science.

We are looking for exceptional individuals who demonstrate delivery excellence, an innovation mindset, a deep understanding of digital technology and collaborative behaviours to help lead our most important programmes with respect to information management. You will champion the application and value of information management alongside our clients, applying your knowledge in user-focused discovery and service delivery to target real benefits across the lifecycle of asset delivery in the Transportation sector.

We recognise the value of diverse backgrounds and experience - be it your experience in BIM/IM systems development, client advisory or management, computer science, civil engineering, and everything in between. We encourage applications from individuals who feel passionate about the future of our sector. With a knowledge or interest in the engineering sector, we are looking for diverse individuals who understand the opportunity of changing workflows as underpinned by the principles of information management and clarity in the value around technology to enable real change in the sector.

Key responsibilities/requirements:
  1. An ability to rapidly align to client need, delivery capability and design requirement to develop an Information Management and Digital Strategy for our Clients and delivery teams that is tangible, deliverable and will deliver value to our client and project team.
  2. A good understanding of the principles of Information Management functions as outlined in international standards (EN ISO 19650) and can bring knowledge and experience of implementing and developing BIM within a project environment.
  3. Programme level management of multiple work package teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality data to our clients.
  4. Advisory and delivery capabilities in developing and enabling a technology stack (CDE and wider strategy), then ensuring it is implemented and used across our client and supplier teams.
  5. Ability to design the necessary workflows and processes to ensure adoption of technology across delivery supply chains. This might include traditional "BIM" technologies, utilisation of GIS data environments or adoption of collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
  6. Ability to guide, advise and enable project set up support - for example, BEP development and implementation including establishing project related processes, protocols and CDE arrangements.
  7. Ability to work across the broader business, including with our colleagues in the UK and Global Technology Centre, to ensure successful discipline integration around Information Management and technology development. This will include reach-back to our other technical experts in BIM, GIS, digital engineering, automation, machine learning and design.
  8. Work closely with your counterpart in the Ireland Infrastructure team, providing flexibility to support other sectors including Aviation, Buildings, Energy and Water markets.
  9. Have the drive and ambition to stay informed of digital tools development within the wider business and identify opportunities for transfer of tools, knowledge and skills.

Desirable skills/attributes:
  1. We are looking for a candidate with a range of experience in a leadership role in the construction industry, championing BIM, information management, digital engineering and design. Salary will be scaled based on experience.
  2. Educated to degree level (level 8/9 engineering degree).
  3. Engineering consultancy experience is preferred.
  4. Confident leading and working as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
  5. Commercial awareness, ability to tailor strategy and technical requirements to company demands.
  6. An awareness of developing technologies and best practice in the industry.
  7. Effective communicator (written, verbal & presentations).
  8. Full driving licence.
