Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience with a hands-on leadership style
• Mechanically inclined, including the ability to inspect the equipment
• Familiar with industrial heavy equipment, including maintenance (conveyors, sorting equipment, sizing equipment, etc.)
• Experience in the processing of materials (pulp/paper/waste management/mining)
• Comfortable in a non-climate controlled indoor/outdoor dirty environment
• Union leadership experience
• Safety-focused
• Strong leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to identify, prioritize, and delegate responsibilities
• Knowledgeable about preventative maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment, pumps, etc.
• Proficient at loading/unloading materials efficiently and cost-effectively
• Skilled at inventory management
• Comfortable learning and implementing new technologies in a manufacturing setting
• Effective communicator
• Computer savvy
