About the role

Within our Compliance Technology & Services team in Birmingham, we are looking for an individual with an interest in developing their experience in indirect tax compliance and developing a career within an established team.

Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to play an integral role in delivering a best-in-class On-boarding function. This includes the implementation of ITX Edge, PwC's industry-leading VAT reporting technology.

This role provides the successful candidate with an unparalleled opportunity to build global VAT technical skills, global Indirect Tax compliance awareness, and the experience of working on complex and challenging assignments. What your day will look like

1. Dealing with client financial data and processing it into our Indirect Tax Technologies.
2. Reviewing the client-specific exception reports produced by the technology.
3. Managing deliverables and contractual scope to ensure delivery against compliance obligations.
4. VAT technical and accounting review of draft returns and client-specific exceptions.

This role is for you if

1. Good VAT technical knowledge.
2. EMEA VAT knowledge and experience preferred.
3. Previous experience in a VAT-related role.
4. Previous experience of the implementation of VAT reporting technology is desirable but not mandatory.
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to motivate, inspire, and develop less experienced team members to achieve excellence.
6. Excellent self-organisational skills and ability to work with strict timetables and deadlines with ambition and a strong desire to succeed.
