What you will do:

1. Act as an independent Chair for meetings of children in care and those on Child Protection plans, ensuring their safety and well-being are prioritised.
2. Vigilantly monitor and oversee the progress of care plans to ensure there is no drift or delay in safeguarding children and achieving permanence for those in care.
3. Quality assure the care planning process for each child or young person, ensuring their current wishes and feelings are considered in all decisions.
4. Work closely with families, social workers, and other professionals to facilitate effective implementation of Child Protection plans.
5. Provide expert feedback and reports on care plans to help drive continuous improvement within the Child Protection Team.
