Position: In Store Cleaning Manager | Onsite | Retail Supermarket
Location: Bury St Edmunds | IP32 7EJ
Salary: £22,620.00 per annum
Hours: 30 Hours per Week | 5 days out of 7
Shift Patterns: Early morning starts 6.00am – 12.00pm | Tuesday – Saturday
Own transport would be desirable. Candidates that live within walking distance would be considered too.

Job Purpose

Our client is a national Facilities Management Company, actively recruiting for an In Store Cleaning Manager, working within a Supermarket Retail Store. Responsible for driving operational performance in a high-profile Site, delivering excellent service and demonstrating continuous improvement in service delivery, process & engagement with both colleagues & clients. The Hygiene Manager will act as a single point of contact for all cleaning and Soft Services issues across the Site.

The Hygiene Manager will be looking after a team of up to 30 cleaners in a fast-paced and demanding distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate company values and lead by example at all times.
2. Providing a key interface between on-site client (customer) and the contracted service providers on a day-to-day basis.
3. Monitor and report on service level agreements and key performance indicators internal and external.
4. Financial tracking and reporting to ensure all services are delivered within agreed budgets and service levels.
5. Provide a continuous improvement review and development of initiatives to improve or rationalise services or processes to achieve optimum performance and full customer engagement.
6. Ownership and management of departmental audits, statutory compliance plans to achieve and maintain legal status.
7. Develop and maintain the relationship with the customer to ensure their expectations are met whilst working within defined specifications.
8. Manage the performance of staff in consultation with an appropriate HR representative, taking necessary actions to develop staff or improve performance.

Experience Requirements:

1. FM experience across Soft Services, ideally retail environment.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Previous experience of managing a team.
4. Proficient using IT / Microsoft programmes (Outlook & Excel).
5. Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH legislation.
6. Responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
7. Ensure confidentiality, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity.
8. Comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
9. Comply with the company’s policies on equal opportunities.

Candidates will have a proven background in Hygiene/ Cleaning Management ideally within a fast-paced retail environment. An immediate start is available.
