In House Technician with prospect to become a Field Service Engineer


With over 40 years of experience and gained knowledge in the scientific instrumentation industry, Sci-Tek Instruments offers unrivalled service and sales support to our extensive customer base, complemented by our service team who are all very knowledgeable in all areas of instrumentation service, fault finding, and repair. We are looking for an In-House Technician local to Olney, Bucks, MK46 5EA to join our company to work on Scientific Instruments including HPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, Spectrophotometers & Microplate Products.

Requirements for In-House Technician
  1. Previous experience in service and carrying out workshop day-to-day duties.
  2. Good understanding of Electro-Mechanical/Electronics.
  3. Knowledgeable in Computer & Software use.
  4. Experience within the Scientific Industry, either laboratory or service-based.
  5. Previous experience with HPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, Spectrophotometers & Microplate.

Key role and responsibilities for In-House Technician
  1. Workshop duties to include servicing, calibrating & repairing scientific instruments.
  2. Parts and Stock related duties to include maintaining service kits and preparing for customer routine maintenance visits.
  3. Perform and complete daily duties as expected for an In-House Technician role.
  4. Perform all in-house work as expected by the customer and on behalf of the company.
  5. Work and communicate with the office providing regular updates of progress.
  6. Generation & completion of weekly time sheets and expenses.
