Job description

In-House Residential Conveyancer

A leading property developer in Yorkshire is seeking a skilled Conveyancer to join its legal team, which is one of the largest in the North. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of plot sales, prepare a range of legal documentation, monitor case progress, collaborate with sales teams, and handle post-completion matters.

Hybrid working is standard (3 in office, 2 from home).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of plot sales and ensure timely exchanges
  • Prepare comprehensive legal documentation using the company’s standard forms
  • Monitor case progress and generate regular reports
  • Collaborate with sales teams to streamline transaction processes
  • Handle post-completion matters, such as SDLT returns and Land Registration
  • Mentor and guide Conveyancing Assistants
  • Conduct AML checks and utilise the company’s case management system


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Conveyancer, preferably within the property development sector, or solid experience for at least one year as an assistant in a Conveyancing team handling transactions from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using case management systems
