THE ROLE
A Legal Counsel is sought to report to the AGC.
This is a hybrid role with the ability to regularly attend the firm's office in London.
Some travel to other offices (in the UK and/or internationally) may be required.
The main purpose of the role is to provide general legal advice, negotiate commercial and IT contracts with clients/suppliers, and support the company's Group's business units and corporate support functions.
It may involve being the principal point of liaison between the Legal Team and particular business units within the Group.
Your role may also include Governance & Legal, Risk Management, and occasionally Dispute Resolution, Company Secretarial, and HR matters.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude and enjoy engaging with global legal team members and internal as well as external clients.
A lawyer with 1-4 pqe, you will have worked with sales teams and have BPO outsourcing/commercial contracts work or software SAAS licensing experience.
You will have the ability to negotiate and draft commercial contracts and contribute to setting up precedents and processes and to build strong and trusted relationships with internal clients (including sales and commercial teams) and external stakeholders.
Other areas of work will include data protection law, TUPE/liftouts, along with ideally knowledge of the UK and/or the Irish financial services regulatory environments.
