Are you a Qualified Lawyer who specialises in Data Privacy/Data Protection?

Open to a new 12 month fixed-term contract? My client, a top international law firm, is actively seeking a Qualified Lawyer who specialises in Data Privacy/Protection, to join them on an initial 12m FTC in their Birmingham office as their new In-House Data Privacy Lawyer. As the successful In-House Lawyer, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

1. Supporting the business in managing its data protection and client confidentiality risk
2. Providing privacy and data input on client questionnaires
3. Drafting policies and guidance, as well as in-depth training when needed
4. Responding to queries from the business on data, privacy and confidentiality
5. Assisting with data subject rights requests
6. Reviewing and advising on data and privacy aspects of the firms' client terms
7. Assisting with Privacy Impact Assessments and additional DP risk assessments

To be considered for this position, you'll need to have/be the following:

1. 2-5 years' PQE with a focus on Data Privacy/Protection
2. Ideally, a qualification within Data Protection
3. Ability to commute to the Birmingham office a minimum of three days per week
4. Awareness and understanding of upcoming regulatory changes within data
