Job description

In House Construction Lawyer | 4 to 10 PQE + | West Midlands (hybrid)

We are working with a well-established property developer who has a fantastic reputation for developing buildings and infrastructure that improve health and communities. The business is responsible for making a positive change in the world, with a devotion to sustainability & low ecological impact.

The business is on a steady growth trajectory, and they are seeking an experienced construction lawyer to help with the smooth running and delivery of the increasing number of developments they have in the order book.

Working in a small, tight-knit team and reporting into the group Legal Director, you will take the lead on construction law advice for the business where you will advise on the full suite of construction contracts, with a particular focus on JCT contracts, and manage key internal stakeholders whom you will work closely with and will have full involvement from start to finish.

This role is appropriate for a construction lawyer seeking an opportunity to increase the impact they can have in their role, as it provides you the ability to take commercial decisions yourself and the business will afford you the trust to do that!

The business is also seeking a lawyer keen on progressing up the ranks, as this role is being recruited with succession planning in mind.

The salary is up to £95,000, plus a wider package. Part-time working is on offer 4 days per week (0.8 full time equivalent). It is 2-3 days per week in the West Midlands office and the rest from home.
