In-House Claims Manager

Our client is seeking a skilled legal professional to join their in-house legal team, based in Warrington, to defend a range of litigated claims to include EL/PL, Personal Injury and Property Damage claims. You will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of cases, from inception to resolution, while providing strategic legal guidance to the business on a 14-month fixed term contract.

As an In-House Claims Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement case strategies, working closely with external legal teams, experts and stakeholders.
• Assess risk exposure, identify emerging issues and advise the business on potential legal liabilities.
• Provide legal advice on litigation matters, attend court hearings, and represent the company in negotiations, settlements and trials.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintain accurate case files and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on claims strategies.

What they are looking for:

• A qualified Solicitor or legal professional with 5+ years of experience in defendant litigation.
• Ability to develop proactive legal strategies while balancing risk and business objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with all levels of the business.
