Main duties of the job

What we are looking for To be eligible you must have been awarded a PhD or MD before starting the IPPRF and normally hold a CCT or be within 12 months of acquiring CCT (or equivalent) at the time of application. The award is for a maximum of 2 years undertaking full time research, with the option of maintaining clinical work 1 day per week (subject to being offered an Honorary contract from the Imperial College Healthcare or other NHS Trust, which may require you to undergo some additional clinical consultant processes to meet the relevant Trust and Royal College requirements). The Fellowship is funded jointly by the NIHR Imperial BRC and Imperial Faculty of Medicine academic Departments. Proposed research projects should ideally fit with one of the 14 BRC Research Themes, or be relevant to one of the 4 common threads integrated into the research themes. Stage 1: You should first approach the relevant Imperial academic department to discuss your research interest and establish whether they are able to support you. Then you should get formal approval and estimated research costings for the project. Closing date Wednesday 5 February 2025 for most academic departments, Wednesday 29 January for Department of Surgery & Cancer.Stage 2: You should submit your approved IPPRF application proposal, together with your CV and completed Job application form. Qualifications
- Medical qualification: MBBS, MM BCh or equivalent (E)
- * Fully GMC registered Doctor (or eligible for full registration) in training in the UK E
- * A PhD or MD*. PhD to have been submitted or all experimental work completed
- pending submission by the time of application,and awarded before starting the
- post.
- (*a research-based MD rather than part of an undergraduate degree). (E)
- * To be within 12 months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (or
- equivalent non-UK certification) or normally to have been awarded a CCT within

Experience
- * Evidence of high-quality publications from research E
