Immediate Start Personal Assistant/Carer Needed for 49-year-old man with Multiple Sclerosis, Bedminster, Bristol - BS3

Hi, my name is Rob and I have Multiple Sclerosis. I am looking for a personal assistant with certain qualities that will aid me in my recovery and well-being. I have a very good sense of humour and I am always smiling, even though my life is extremely hard.

I am looking for someone who is caring, patient, practical, and can work on their own self-esteem. They must also have a good sense of humour, as I find that this helps my condition. I need someone who is not aged and enthusiastic, as these qualities help me move forward, not backward.

I also love to paint when I can find the time, and I enjoy going out to live music and football. I stretch my muscles daily, as being in a wheelchair it’s a must, and I go to the gym for weight training three times a week. Someone with a physiotherapy or care background or knowledge in this area would be a great help, as I find it’s where I need assistance the most, but it’s not essential. Most things can be learned along the way!

You will need to be fairly flexible on shift times due to my changing illness and the other girls' shift patterns. There are day shifts and night shifts available, which will be discussed when we meet. A driving licence is not necessary.
