Job description

An industry leading M&E service provider is seeking a HVAC Maintenance Engineer to work at a large commercial site based near Manchester Airport. Offering a salary of £41,000 per annum, with fantastic opportunities to develop and progress within the industry.


This is an immediately available role in a dynamic and prestigious building working as part of a close-knit team.


Job Role:

You will be required to work Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm with overtime opportunities available. Required to be very technically strong with great fault finding abilities and a desire to work in a demanding yet rewarding environment.

  1. Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all HVAC plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
  2. Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include Mechanical, plumbing and fabric tasks.
  3. Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
  4. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
  5. Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
  6. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
  7. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.

  4. Generators
  5. UPS's
  6. VRV, VRF
  7. Chillers
  8. Water treatments

Skills Required:

The successful candidate MUST have:


  1. Worked within building services for the last 3 years
  2. City & Guilds Mechanical or Plumbing qualifications
  3. F-gas Cat 1 2079
