Job Description

The site is a corporate glass, steel and concrete facility, consisting of 10 floors and has a capacity of 1700 people. It is a new build, only finishing development 10 years ago.

There are numerous electrical and mechanical systems critical to running the building of which you will help to maintain.

Here you will be working in a 3 person strong engineering team to complete planned and reactive maintenance jobs on a variety of HVAC systems, focusing on AC equipment.

As we have strong management on site, we can support an engineer developing into the role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support and comply with the delivery of the company Health and Safety policy and standards.
  2. Maintain all installations as directed by the ISS Integrated Solutions planned preventative maintenance systems (MCS), based on HVCA SFG20, and completion within agreed KPI’s/SLA’s.
  3. Repair and rectify faults, breakdowns and other malfunctions to the Mechanical installations at the sites, and completion within agreed KPI’s/SLA’s.
  4. Be conversant with Mechanical disciplines, although formally qualified in a Mechanical discipline and flexible in their approach to work, hours of work and travel arrangements.
  5. Instructed works will primarily be in relation to the individual technician's trade; however, an objective of the team is offering multi-skilled operations.
  6. Work closely and liaise with supplier partners to deliver service to required timescales.
  7. Accurately and legibly complete work reports, maintaining site log books and writing ad-hoc reports as required.
  8. Keep in mobile contact with the designated Helpdesk and line manager, as directed.
  9. Interface with various teams (energy management, projects, audits, Health and Safety) and other teams within BTMU to ensure contract compliance at all times.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  1. City & Guilds or NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
