Job description

TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools based in Coventry seeking full time Humanities Teachers to begin with them in September 2025. The schools in question are seeking a History, RE, Geography or Citizenship Teacher for September.

The experienced Humanities Teacher will require:

  1. To deliver engaging lessons to the children in key stage 3 & 4, possibly KS5 as well.
  2. Previous Humanities teaching experience is desirable.
  3. ECT's are welcome to apply and unqualified Humanities Teachers - MUST HAVE UK TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN SCHOOLS.
  4. Provide support to children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and participating fully.
  5. Work closely with the classroom TA/support.
  6. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  8. Assist in assessing children's progress and reporting any concerns to the lead teacher.

Skills:

  1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults alike.
  2. Experience working within education; QTS is desired.
  3. Ability to educate and inspire young learners through creative teaching methods.
  4. Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with children who have diverse learning needs within mainstream environments.
  5. Previous experience working with children in various settings is advantageous.
  6. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey.
