Job description

TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools based in Coventry seeking full-time Humanities Teachers to begin with them in September 2025. The schools in question are seeking a History, RE, Geography or Citizenship Teacher for September.

The experienced Humanities Teacher will require:

  • To deliver engaging lessons to the children in key stage 3 & 4, possibly KS5 as well.
  • Previous Humanities teaching experience is desirable.
  • ECT's are welcome to apply and unqualified Humanities Teachers - MUST HAVE UK TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN SCHOOLS.
  • Provide support to children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and participating fully.
  • Work closely with the classroom TA/support.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in assessing children's progress and reporting any concerns to the lead teacher.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults alike.
  • Experience working within education; QTS is desired.
  • Ability to educate and inspire young learners through creative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with children who have diverse learning needs within mainstream environments.
  • Previous experience working with children in various settings is advantageous.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey.
