Job description

MPA Recruitment are currently seeking a Human Resources Officer within the Omagh area.

Location: Omagh
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm)
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with ELC Consultancy on behalf of the organisation on Human Resource and employee relations issues.
  2. Manage Fair Employment documentation for the Equality Commission, filling in the annual Fair Employment return, dealing with queries from Equality Commission staff and completing the Triennial review.
  3. Assist with the management of disciplinary and grievance procedures and employee relations within the organisation including employee tribunals and liaising with Labour Relations Agency.
  4. Co-ordinate appraisals for all employees within the organisation.
  5. Manage employee records and liaise with staff on a regular basis to update information.
  6. Manage the recruitment and selection of staff for the organisation including Fair Employment Monitoring.
  7. Design, deliver and facilitate training courses for staff. Organise training and professional development for staff using external training providers.
  8. Assist pharmacy managers and supervisors in understanding and implementing policies and procedures.
  9. Liaise with all staff when necessary on personnel management issues offering support and advice.
  10. Promote fair employment and equality of opportunity within the organisation.
  11. Inform and advise management on legislative responsibilities.
  12. Undertake training courses and professional development e.g. Equality Commission courses.
  13. Offer assistance and advice on various aspects of health and safety to staff.
  14. Report on all aspects of Human Resources Monthly.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  1. Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification.
  2. Ability to work on own initiative.
  3. Experience of working in Human Resources.
  4. People Management skills.
  5. Communication skills.
  6. IT skills and experience.
