Job Description:

HR Manager Vacancy - 12 month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 p.a. dependent on experience, plus a £6k car allowance and discretionary bonus.

This is a fully onsite role based just west of Warrington, Cheshire. We are delighted to be supporting a long-standing client in their search for a HR Manager, to cover a maternity leave period of 12-14 months, to commence in April 2025.

Reporting into the MD, and working alongside 1 direct report, you will take charge of all generalist and ER duties on behalf of a workforce of circa. 370 heads. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to really roll their sleeves up, get hands on, and actively contribute to the business' ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting Divisional Managers with recruitment and staff development
  2. Maintaining HR policies, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation
  3. Monitoring and helping to drive employee engagement
  4. Managing investigations and complex employee relations issues including disciplinary and grievances
  5. Management and mentorship of HR Assistant
Minimum Requirements:
  1. CIPD level 5 (or equivalent professional HR qualification) as a minimum
  2. Ideally 5+ years post qualification experience in a senior HR role
  3. Operationally excellent, and happy to jump in wherever needed; no job too big or small
  4. Tenacious, self-starter, committed to working with honesty and integrity
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  6. Manufacturing experience highly advantageous but not essential
