Our Client

Our client is a prestigious global investment institution managing substantial assets across diverse investment classes, including fixed income, equities, and alternative investments. They are currently seeking an experienced Head of HR to join their London team. The successful candidate will strategically lead and transform the HR function, driving organisational effectiveness and embedding a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Reposition and strengthen HR as a strategic business function, driving critical HR initiatives.
  2. Develop and execute an HR strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cultural ambitions.
  3. Lead and implement strategic HR projects, including succession planning, performance management improvements, and a comprehensive benefits review.
  4. Oversee and optimise employee value proposition initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
  5. Serve as a trusted HR advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on employment terms, legislation, and market trends.
  6. Lead, develop, and mentor the existing HR team, ensuring capability development for future leadership.
  7. Enhance internal communication and foster strong employee engagement and relations.
  8. Ensure timely resolution and compliance on internal audit actions.

Experience Requirements

  1. Extensive HR leadership experience, ideally with at least 5 years at a group-wide or senior strategic level.
  2. Demonstrable experience reporting directly to C-suite executives, with strong board-level exposure.
  3. Proven track record of sitting on Remuneration Committees and Management Committees, with a clear understanding of governance and regulatory frameworks.
  4. Direct HR leadership experience within the asset management sector is essential.
  5. Strong background in delivering successful HR transformation programmes within financial services or related sectors.
  6. Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  7. Bachelor’s degree required; CIPD qualification strongly preferred.
