ABOUT THE POSITION

Columbia Sportswear Company’s Human Resources department aims to advance company strategy and connect talented people with their passions through work and a life outside. We need passionate people to create exceptional products, differentiated consumer experiences and to grow the business. Our teams ensure the company’s success by focusing on attracting and retaining diverse talent, building organizational effectiveness, and supporting the mental, physical, social and financial well-being of all employees.

Our Human Resources team is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator at our Headquarters located in London, Ontario, for a 6-month contract. In this role you will be primarily responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of 100+ contract employees at the London Distribution Centre.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Collaborate with our Sr. HR Generalist to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for our Distribution Centre. This includes candidate screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.

  • Lead new employee orientation sessions, encompassing the review and compilation of new hire documents, candidate and new hire communications, and the facilitation of company policies, AODA and Health and Safety training.

  • Organize and execute hiring events to assist in reaching headcount requirements effectively.

  • Provide additional HR support for the Canada business, including managing employee requests, organizing and updating employee records, preparing reports in Workday related to personnel metrics (i.e., headcount, turnover, training, and more), and coordinating additional HR projects (i.e., employee wellness initiatives, training programs, engagement surveys, and more).

  • Partner with the HR Team to ensure we are meeting all provincial and federal compliance requirements.

  • Work with employees and managers on daily transactional needs to help enhance the employee experience.

  • Maintain and manage confidential employee information and files with greatest professionalism.

YOU ARE

  • Detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Effective in communicating in one-on-one situations, as well as small and large group presentations.

  • Skilled in building and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with all Columbia employees.

  • Adept at using diplomacy and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive situations.

  • Capable of working effectively under deadline pressure and adjusting to a constantly changing work environment.

  • Self-motivated and versatile, able to multitask, and work both independently and collaboratively with various teams.

  • Knowledgeable in Canadian Employment Law, Provincial Employment Standards, Ministry of Labour Regulations, and Canadian Human Rights.

YOU HAVE

  • Two to three years of human resources experience, with a focus in recruitment (experience in high volume recruitment would be an asset).

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources.

  • CHRP designation, or actively pursuing your designation.

  • Experience with Workday (HRIS).

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, OneNote, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21-$26/hour.
