Coordinator of Human Resources

Mooseheart Child City & School, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Coordinator of Human Resources to support our growing team. In this role, you'll manage the daily operations of HR, ensure compliance with DCFS licensing standards, and help build a positive, mission-driven workplace culture.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with leadership to implement strategic HR initiatives

  • Oversee HR operations including benefits, compliance, and employee relations

  • Maintain HR policy manuals and ensure compliance with DCFS regulations
  • Serve as a key advisor for employee relations and conflict resolution

  • Administer compensation and benefits programs

  • Supervise the Human Resources Assistant and contribute to departmental goals

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

  • Proven experience across multiple HR functions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance standards

  • Prior supervisory experience and a collaborative leadership style

  • High integrity and professionalism in handling confidential matters

Who You'll Work With
  • Daily collaboration with department leaders and employees

  • Regular contact with DCFS representatives and job applicants

  • Close partnership with the Executive Director and Chief Human Resources Officer
