Human Resources Business Partner – Supply Chain

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: £ 55-65,000 + car allowance + bonus + benefits + career opportunities

Our Client is a market leader within the FMCG sector. We are seeking an exceptional leader, individual contributor and strategic HR Business Partner to influence strategy, optimise working models, and enable the business to achieve results while preserving the fabric that sets them apart and keeps consumers coming back for more product. The HR Business Partner supports the business by leading the strategic HR agenda within Manufacturing and logistics. You will support business transformation and work cross-functionally to provide solutions, or design and implement company-wide, strategic People initiatives.

The role:

  1. Defines the human resources strategy to support the senior leadership teams by understanding strategic business goals and objectives; advising on the execution of organisational change initiatives; assessing human resources implications of various strategies; providing guidance to business leaders on human resources issues.
  2. Partner with the leaders and their staff to provide strategic HR partnership to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable the functions.
  3. Partner with the Leadership teams to develop and embed a positive and forward-thinking organisational culture and leverage change acceleration techniques to assist in driving broad change and improve the employee experience.
  4. Builds organisational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximise team performance.
  5. Strategically partner with Leadership teams to design and implement the most effective structures to drive business growth, simplification, and maximised team performance.
  6. Provide timely, effective, and direct coaching to business leaders, assisting in the development of strong leadership skills. Provide strategic coaching focusing on succession planning, career path development, and performance management.
  7. Recognising, selecting, retaining, and developing key talent to drive total quality and excellence.
  8. Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organisation, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines through mentoring, training, etc.
  9. Strategically lead business and HR team through critical HR processes such as People Reviews, salary planning, performance management, culture and change management.
  10. With the support of recruitment, develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage, and retain strong and diverse talent.
  11. Partner with the broader HR team to share best practices, support local/site priorities, deliver cross-site/functional initiatives, and encourage team growth.
  12. In addition to being a key member of the HR leadership team, you will also serve as a key member of the overall Operating Functions HR leadership team, partnering and engaging in overall talent and organisational planning activities for the HR function.

The person:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and MSc in Human Resources or L7 CIPD qualified.
  2. Previous HR Business Partnering experience gained in a fast-paced manufacturing or logistics ideally food or beverages production.
  3. Progressive experience in Human Resource Business Partnership positions with increasing scope of responsibility and an understanding of employee life cycle processes.
  4. Understanding of HR concepts and principles gained either through formal education and/or work experience in HR roles.
  5. Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, coaching and assessing leadership talent, and effectively interfacing with senior-level business and operations leaders.
  6. Demonstrated HR experience in a supply chain environment. Ability to connect the dots and drive the HR agenda with proactive thought leadership.
  7. Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive and diverse workforce.
  8. Confidence to voice opinions & ideas and ability to deliver tough feedback/coaching to leadership.
