Location: Midland Metro Ltd, Wednesbury Depot, Potters Lane, WS10 0AR

Salary: Full time, FTC - 7 Months

We are now recruiting for HR & ER Officer to join our HR and OD Department.

The HR & ER Officer will have a generalist background but will have proven experience, strong knowledge and a firm understanding of Employee Relations and Industrial relations.

As HR & ER Officer you will be responsible for:
  1. Leading and providing advice on disciplinary, grievance and absence meetings, attending and taking notes as required.
  2. Ensuring that all HR records are up to date, complete and compliant with legislation.
  3. Recording and managing employee data to ensure managers are aware of probationary period expiry dates, maternity leave dates etc.
  4. Preparing and reviewing contracts, HR correspondence (e.g., disciplinary reports) and other general correspondence, as required.
  5. Day-to-day data entry & administration of employee HR system.
  6. Supporting the recruitment & selection process by running campaigns with managers, facilitating assessment centres and other recruitment activities across MML.
  7. Interfacing with payroll on joiners, leavers, and all employee changes.
  8. Supporting the HR team on legislation, policy and best practice guidelines are followed.
  9. To undertake and support the wider team to carry out ad hoc projects, including benchmarking exercises, performance management system development, staff communications, compliance research, training programmes and other ad hoc work as required.
  10. Undertake monthly HR Reports and Statistics.
  11. To support and co-ordinate Occupational Health appointments and activities.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Must:
  1. Be fully Proficient in Office 365 with proven skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  2. Possess proven experience in working with comprehensive HR systems.
  3. Have experience and ability to effectively and efficiently recruit, select candidates in hiring processes, and onboard accordingly.
  4. Possess experience working with multiple and complex caseloads.
  5. Pass stringent drug and alcohol testing in line with the regulations within the Rail Industry.
