Job description

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join their Human Resources Operations team in Jersey. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day transactional tasks within a busy Human Resources department, ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including Recruitment, Payroll, and Business Partnering, to support onboarding, employee changes, and compliance processes. This is a full-time position with hybrid working available (four days in the office, one day from home).

Job Duties:
  • Manage global onboarding processes, including issuing contracts, immigration requirements, pre-employment vetting, and scheduling inductions.
  • Process employee leavers, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed.
  • Monitor and record employee sickness, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Coordinate work permit and visa renewals.
  • Administer long service awards and professional qualification requests.
  • Process Human Resources invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals.
  • Handle employee changes such as promotions, transfers, secondments, and working hours adjustments.
  • Respond to reference requests and support student schemes and placements.
  • Generate ad hoc reports from the Human Resources system.
  • Provide first-line support on Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Develop an understanding of practice areas and jurisdictions to support Human Resources operations.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Job Requirements:
  • Highly organised with strong multitasking and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A diplomatic, friendly, and team-oriented approach.
