The Role: HR Advisor

This is a full-time office-based role, Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join our Head Office team in London. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment and enjoys overseeing HR operations, recruitment, and employee relations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring best HR practices across the company. This position reports directly to the HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve HR matters, including grievances, disciplinary processes, and performance management. Provide guidance to managers and employees on best HR practices.
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment processes.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, GDPR regulations, and company policies. Keep up to date with legislative changes.
  • Employee Engagement & Development: Develop and implement engagement initiatives to support a positive workplace culture. Support training and development programs for employees.
  • HR Projects & Initiatives: Be actively involved in all company-wide projects, including diversity & inclusion, employee wellbeing, process improvements, and other strategic HR initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A CIPD qualification (or working towards one) is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role, preferably within retail or a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK employment law, HR policies, and GDPR compliance. Familiarity with HRIS systems is an advantage.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a growing, evolving environment.
