Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a public sector organisation based in North Wales, who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor on an initial 12-Month FTC.

This will be a full-time position based on site, paying £36,500, with the possibility to rise to £38,750 post probation.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  1. Providing expert advice to managers and employees on HR matters
  2. Coaching and mentoring managers to strengthen leadership and people management skills
  3. Building and maintaining strong relationships between employees, managers, and trade unions
  4. Developing, updating, and reviewing HR policies to reflect current legislation
  5. Coaching managers to improve their knowledge of how to handle employee relations issues
  6. Collaborating with senior teams to introduce effective change management strategies
  7. Supporting managers in hiring processes, including job advertising, selection methods, and contract options

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  1. Good multi-tasking and organisational skills
  2. Experience of leading and advising on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management processes
  3. Experience of identifying learning and development needs
  4. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise, organise and manage own workload independently to meet deadlines
  5. Clear written communication skills

Working hours:

  1. Full-time hours - 37.5 per week
  2. Monday – Friday, fully onsite to start with the option of 1-day WFH as the contract goes on
