HR Administrator

Could be based in East or North Yorkshire

Salary: £28-33,000 + Excellent range of benefits

Our client, working exclusively with Lucy Walker Recruitment, is a Global Company who are market leaders within their sector. They are looking to recruit a HR Administrator to join their UK HR function. The role will be based at one of their sites in either North or East Yorkshire and as a result, you will ideally be a car driver and owner. The role offers hybrid working with 1 day from home and 4 within the office.

This is an excellent opportunity for you if you are experienced within a HR Administrator or HR Advisor role, looking for a new challenge, or you may be an experienced Administrator, looking to work within HR and add value within a very busy, diverse and process-driven role. You will work within a HR team and support a wider European function, playing an active role in supporting all HR tasks by offering support across all areas.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5-10 years plus strong administration or business support experience
  • If you have CIPD, level 3 would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong IT skills, confident with all MS Office packages
  • Some knowledge of general HR processes and policies would be an advantage
  • Experience working on HR systems would be an advantage
  • Highly organised and proactive in your approach with the ability to multitask
  • Good understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality in a HR role

The successful HR Administrator will play a vital part in the day-to-day running of the HR department, working closely with the HR Manager to achieve HR objectives and to ensure smooth and effective HR processes. On a day-to-day basis, the HR Administrator will be involved in the following:

  • Produce HR correspondence, letters, and documents to a high standard
  • Manage the HR systems and all electronic files, keeping them updated
  • Administer the benefits platform, updating with any changes
  • Deal with HR enquiries from employees
  • Provide support throughout the recruitment and hiring process
  • Manage administration relating to holiday and absence
  • Involved with the induction process for new starters and exit interviews with leavers
  • Support the HR Manager with disciplinary procedures, managing the administration process
  • Support with wider HR initiatives and Health & Wellbeing activities

The HR Administrator role is extremely varied and would suit a capable candidate with strong experience gained within Administration, HR Administration, or within a HR Advisory role.
