Job description

Aureos are seeking an HSQE Coordinator to join our office in Preston Brook. This role will report to the Compliance Manager and work to support any HSQEW & Sustainability requirements but with a particular focus on our compliance requirements relating to Quality & Assurance.

As a HSQE Coordinator, you will work with the HSQEW & Sustainability team and assist across all functions of the department as required. All necessary systems training will be given with an agreed progression route and necessary mentoring in place.

This role requires the candidate to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the business. They will need to maintain two-way communication with other coordinators and be willing to support them when there is a need.

There are opportunities for this role to attend sites/office locations to help further their understanding of the business and build relationships, but primarily this will be an administrative task office-based role.

Primary tasks and duties
  • Monitor and answer dedicated email inboxes
  • Update the various accreditation and membership portals (e.g. Achilles, Constructionline etc.)
  • Ensure documents are templated correctly and quality control applied.
  • Support in acquisition document reviews.
  • Update Legislation Update Service (LUS) following any document updates.
  • Update the BU's systems and compliance with relevant Legislation, Standards and Company process.
  • Gather data and prepare necessary compliance reports for the Heads of HSQE and the Senior Team.
  • Communicate updates/changes/improvements/briefings/lessons learnt in systems, internal and external information, and working processes to Operations and Compliance/HSQE Teams.
  • Implement and communicate completed developments and improvements of process with the relevant operations personnel in all areas.
  • Provide and promote support regarding compliance issues from the BU's.
  • Ensure all document review dates are monitored, and documents reviewed and uploaded after quality check before the stated end date.
  • Ensure leadership tours are incorporated in compliance reporting.
  • Support the promotion of common processes across Infrastructure and the reduction of redundant processes.
  • Provide support to the HSQEW & Sustainability Dept in the use of Pro-Sapien.
  • Support the HSQEW & Sustainability Team as required.
  • Participate in internal/external audits including coordinating/initiating necessary activities for preparation/follow-up.
  • Understand the systems in use across the HSQEW & Sustainability dept and support end users with queries/direct them appropriately.
  • Understand the reporting requirements across the dept and support as required in the development/distribution of the reports.
  • Attend meetings and take minutes when required.
  • Support to the business and other departments as required.
Qualifications and Training
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Driving Licence
  • Willing to undertake the following training:
    • Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship or equivalent
    • Mental Health First Aider
    • Kelvin Top Set 1 day — 3-day
    • Report writing course
    • Behavioural Safety Training inc. TCUP
    • QMS Internal Auditor (1 Day) Course
