£85k - £90k + Package

The Company

Do you want the chance to work in direct partnership with two proven directors, influence business-wide standards, and be part of a leadership journey that could lead to future directorship?

We're working with a successful and forward-thinking M&E Contractor based in Central London, known for delivering high-quality projects across commercial, mixed-use, residential, and public-sector sectors. They've built a reputation for excellence and integrity—and now, with ambitious growth plans ahead, they're looking to bring in a dedicated HSEQ Manager to lead all things health, safety, environmental and quality across the business.

This is not a stand-alone H&S role—this is a genuine opportunity to become a core part of the leadership team, working directly with the company's two directors to drive improvements, influence culture, and help shape a growing business from the inside.

The Role
The HSEQ Manager will take full ownership of all health, safety, environmental, and quality matters across the company's project portfolio and internal operations. You'll act as the main point of contact for all HSEQ strategy, training, audits, compliance, and continuous improvement—while being a visible leader across sites and offices.
As the business continues to grow, this is a key hire that will sit at the heart of the company's strategic development, with genuine future directorship potential for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead on all HSEQ matters across multiple M&E projects
  2. Implement, maintain, and improve internal policies and procedures
  3. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and training
  4. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and all relevant legislation
  5. Produce RAMS, CPPs, risk assessments and method statements
  6. Work with directors on continuous improvement initiatives
  7. Oversee accreditations (e.g. ISO, SafeContractor, Constructionline)
  8. Carry out incident/accident investigations and follow up with corrective actions
  9. Maintain and update HSEQ policies and documentation
  10. Coordinate training plans and maintain competence across the workforce
  11. Promote a positive health & safety culture at all levels of the organisation

Requirements

  1. Strong background in HSEQ management within construction or M&E
  2. Proven ability to lead audits, drive compliance, and influence culture
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation, CDM regs, and ISO systems
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
  5. NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification essential
  6. Ambitious, proactive, and passionate about improving standards
