HSE Production Manager

Location: Leicester

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 + Pension + Health + Bonus + Vehicle

Shift Pattern: Days 8-4.30 Monday - Friday

The Company

My client is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of specialist products to a wide variety of industries. With a worldwide presence, the group has gone from strength to strength with over 70 years of experience, with sites in over 50 countries. Due to further expansion, they have the need to recruit an additional maintenance engineer.

Key Skills

  1. Strong Leader. 5+ years in a senior production role / HSE role.
  2. IOSH - ideally NEBOSH
  3. Experience of Optimising Production processes.

The Role

  1. To deliver a zero-accident performance, ensuring HSE requirements are understood and implemented across the site.
  2. To act as the person responsible for HSE for the site.
  3. To set a high standard and then coach and inspire the team to deliver through cultural and behavioural change.
  4. To consistently meet delivery targets, working closely with the business stakeholders.
  5. To execute the production plans, optimising the resource required.
  6. To continually challenge the status quo, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve HSE, cost and service.
  7. To deputise for the site manager when absent from site.

Competencies Required

  1. Excellent understanding of Health & Safety with a passion for promoting a safe working environment.
  2. A strong leader with a minimum of 5 years manufacturing on a supervisory level or HSE officer/ manager experience.
  3. Proven track record of operational excellence, driving out waste and increasing productivity.
  4. Exceptional organizational, leadership and communication skills in line with the Bostik way values.
  5. A methodical and proactive mentality to problem solving.
