Job Vacancy: Health & Safety Officer - Manufacturing

APN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer for a manufacturing company in Redditch. This role is critical for ensuring safe manufacturing processes and improving the company's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management system.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Develop and enforce health and safety procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with COSHH and oversee product safety.
3. Perform safety inspections and audits.
4. Lead safety training sessions and conduct risk assessments.
5. Investigate incidents and maintain safety records.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.
7. Support sustainability initiatives within the company.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Required: Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably automotive or aerospace.
2. Desired qualifications: IOSH, NEBOSH, or relevant degree in Manufacturing/Engineering (HNC/HND, NVQ/BTEC Level III).
3. Knowledge of ISO14001 / ISO45001 is advantageous.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Application Requirements:

1. Must have a relevant Engineering or Manufacturing qualification.
2. NEBOSH General Certificate required.
