Job description

Cloud 9 are delighted to be working on a new project for a HSE Manager to join a renowned global leader in the packaging industry. This East Midlands–based position offers a unique platform to make a significant impact on health and safety practices within a dynamic and forward–thinking organisation. Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety Culture: Actively and effectively lead initiatives to foster a safety–first culture.
  2. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans.
  3. Behavioural Safety: Ensure widespread engagement by enhancing the behavioural safety programme.
  4. Policy Monitoring: Oversee the efficacy of such policies and recommend any necessary changes.
  5. Environmental System Management: Facilitate and manage the company’s Environmental Management System.
  6. Compliance and Improvement: Ensure compliance and drive continuous improvements.
  7. Incident Management: Provide assistance in the investigation of accidents or incidents and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly. Provide regular accurate reports.
  8. Emergency Procedures: Establish and manage emergency evacuation procedures and liaise with relevant authorities.
  9. Training and Audits: Conduct safety training and periodic safety inspections, reporting findings to the management team.
  10. Legislative Updates: Stay abreast of changing legislation relevant to the industry.
Skills and Experience
  1. At least 3 years Health & Safety Manager experience, preferably within manufacturing.
  2. Demonstrable and proven experience managing and delivering Environmental Management Systems.
  3. NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety is essential, and a willingness to undertake and gain NEBOSH Diploma.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong influencer skills.
  6. Excellent training and coaching skills.
  7. Excellent problem solving and efficient corrective skills.
  8. Analytical.
  9. Highly organised with attention to detail.
  10. Full UK Driving Licence.
Remuneration

You will receive a basis salary circa GBP50k–GBP60k DOE together with performance bonus!
